On April 16, 2025, Huawei officially launched the X1 series router, which for the first time applies the same origin Lingxi antenna technology of mobile phones to the router field. With a complex array of 11 built-in antennas and intelligent algorithms, it reshapes the home network coverage experience. This series abandons the traditional "octopus" external antenna design and adopts a cylindrical body and hidden layout. It tightly integrates 5 omnidirectional high gain antennas, 5 directional smart antennas, and 1 star flash antenna, paired with matte materials and ice blue breathing lights. It won the 2025 German iF Design Award, achieving the integration of technology and home aesthetics.
The core breakthrough lies in the self-developed intelligent antenna algorithm and dual polarization adaptive technology: the antenna array can be monitored through "radar scanning", and the optimal gain combination can be switched in microseconds to track the device position, with a signal gain of up to 6dB; the horizontal and vertical dual polarization design can automatically adjust the signal direction according to the phone's horizontal and vertical screen holding posture, solving the problem of lagging caused by polarization mismatch. In a 100 square meter three bedroom test, the speed of the second bedroom separated by two walls remained above 1700Mbps, which is 40% higher than traditional routing. The latency was controlled within 10 milliseconds, perfectly adapting to 4K live streaming and cloud gaming scenarios.
