In the 5G-A contiguous pilot project in Shiyan, Hubei, CITIC Mobile's wireless AI antenna technology demonstrated significant advantages, covering 12 residential areas, 3 factories, and 2 main traffic arteries. The measured network latency was as low as 8 milliseconds, and the spectral efficiency reached 3.2 bit/s/Hz, with core indicators exceeding industry standards by more than 20%. The antenna integrates intelligent sensing and dynamic beam adjustment functions, and captures user distribution in real time through the built-in millimeter wave radar. It completes 50 beam direction optimizations per second, and the average download speed in densely populated residential areas has increased from 520Mbps to 800Mbps. The signal connection rate in weak coverage areas such as elevators and underground garages has increased from 72% to 96%.
During the pilot period, feedback from operators showed that the number of user complaints in the region decreased by 60%, with almost zero complaints about issues such as "poor signal" and "network card lag". At present, this technology has reached a bulk procurement agreement with China Mobile and is planned to be promoted throughout Hubei Province in 2026. The general manager of the mobile wireless technology department of CITIC Technology said that the large-scale commercial use of wireless AI antenna will promote the transformation of 5G-A from "bandwidth enhancement" to "experience optimization", and provide stable network support for industrial Internet, smart medical and other industrial applications.
